With his first breath underwater Joel Silverstein knew he'd found his place. When other kids were dreaming of exploring outer space, 5-year old Joel was captivated by inner space. Technology and documentation of his surroundings fueled a growing interest in photography. As his two passions combined, Joel's lifelong commitment to the art and science of diving was ignited.

Over the past three decades he has served several industries. Business, photography, technical diving, hyperbaric medicine, equipment design, manufacturing, publishing, undersea expeditions, and film making.  At present Mr. Silverstein is Chief Operating Officer of Scuba Training and Technology Inc. / Tech Diving Limited, an international diving technology company.
